[THREAT] unicode flaw in firefox

https://www.itnews.com.au/news/unico...hishing-458533

go to about:config

search for
Quote:
network.IDN_show_punycode
I am right handed mouse user.....change instruction to left click if you are left mouse user.

right hand click it and click toggle to turn it to true

---leave open tab for about:config

go to test site to show true name of site

https://www.xn--e1awd7f.com/

if it displays as epic I have failed to give you clear directions.

if it displays as correct site, then
go back to about config tab and toggle it to see the diff and then toggle it back to true.

cheers

above works okay. by the way, if you double-click an existing value it changes from false to true or vice versa.

shame there isn't an equivalent from chrome flags. still, it won't be long until it's patched because it's already fixed in the beta build.

same can and should be applied to Firefox and Adblock Plus browsers for smartphones
