List of "binary firmware" allowed in Fedora

It mentions here that "binary firmware is the only exception" to the rule that proprietary software is not included in Fedora.

I don't expect anyone here to have one, but I am looking for advice as to who/where I should ask about a list of all such included firmware. Also, my understanding of "firmware" is that it refers to software that is flashed to a device, and not simply an in memory driver. Is this correct?

Test or Devel mailing list might be a good place to start. Folks involved in QA/Infrastructure will probably be your best bets.

At least, that would be my guess.

Did a yum search on firmware and came up with a few hits. I can't say if this is all of them or not, but it's probably pretty close.

The link you have provided references https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Licen...inary_Firmware which should answer both questions. all packages are called foo-firmware. If you let us know what you are trying to do, it might be useful to help you better
